ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitoring of construction contractor progress, use of materials, installation of approved equipment and piping and schedule materials testing.
- Document construction progress through reports; attend monthly progress meeting.
- Supervise that the contractor is using required safety procedures.
- Oversee that the contractor following the project Quality Control Plan.
- Monitors that the contractor follows project documents, specifications, drawings and technical standards.
- Inspect testing material, measurement and equipment to ensure project documents are met.
- Review startup procedure is followed.
- Oversee that the contractor follows the Environmental, Social, Occupation Health and Safety Management Plan.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Experience: 5+ years in construction management, quality management.
Professional/Technical:
- Independent worker capable of exercising independent judgment and evaluation.
- Excellent organization and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures associated with concrete, mechanical systems and other construction materials.
- Knowledge of construction management information systems/databases.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
- An individual of unquestioned integrity, possessing strong interpersonal skills and a sense of urgency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and fast paced construction environment.
