The Position
My client is looking for a high performing belt technician or a tradesperson, looking for a step up into a supervisor role. You will need to able to perform various splicing techniques on a vast range of belting materials (full training provided if required). You will also need to have high attention to detail and a professional work ethic which will set you up above the rest. The role will be responsible for operation of mechanical plant and equipment, preparing, checking and completion of internal work orders as per requested. You will also be responsible for onsite installations / maintenance of conveyor belting products, attend to breakdown requirements at client sites, maintain strict housekeeping standards in workshop and at client site facilities. You will also be required to have a current driving licence, flexibility needed to travel around Perth metro & regional areas. Forklift Licence Preferable (not essential)
About You
You will be highly motivated and a have a can-do/hands-on attitude with an ability to work as part of a team and independently where required. Ideally a minimum of two years’ work experience but not essential, as full training will be provided if required. You will have the following skills and attributes.
- Problem solving and measuring capability
- Technical / mechanical aptitude advantageous. Use of Stanley Knife and measuring capability
- High attention to detail and professional work ethic
