Intern, Data Science (Life and Health Regional Analytics):
Location
Singapore, Singapore
Working with a team of expert Data Scientists and Analytics experts, you will be part of Munich Re's Regional AI/Analytics Team, Life & Health in Singapore and will provide valuable support to the data analytics team.
We have several exciting Internships available for both part-time and full-time working, with a minimum commitment and availability of 4 months. As such, we require applicants to hold the suitable working rights in Singapore. Unfortunately we are unable to consider applicants from overseas.
Your job
- You will support an agile project team consisting of Business Experts, Data Scientists and Data Engineers within the regional analytics team.
- You will work with multiple partners across the whole APAC region, including Middle East, Japan and Africa.
- You will research industry best practices and come up with practical solutions to help develop and improve business.
- Depending on your skills and our requirements, you may support us in our current on-going projects and R & D projects which span across the entire insurance value chain
- Help prepare high quality demos on multiple platforms to demonstrate analytical capabilities
Profile:
- Pursuing Master's or Bachelor's degree in data science / artificial intelligence, computer science, information technology, or a comparable discipline
- Some experience of advanced data analyses using latest machine learning and statistical methods
- Strong knowledge in coding. Familiar with at least one of the programming languages such as Python, R, C#
- Experience of reporting / dashboarding. Familiar with at least one of Dash, RShiny, Streamlit, Power BI or other visualisation tools
- Knowledge of basic JavaScript/react.JS/vue.JS would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps is a plus
- Strong communication and business relationship skills to explain analysis, both verbally and in writing, to others and translate analysis into a clear business plan
