Elgin Audiology Consultants is an independent, privately owned group of Audiology and Hearing Clinics servicing the area for over 20 years with 7 different locations. We maintain a strong relationship with the University of Western Ontario as a teaching clinic and are a provider for the Ministry's Infant Hearing Program. We pride ourselves in being an audiology-focused clinic that is owned by Audiologists.

We are now hiring a Medical Administrator for our clinic in Stratford, ON. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday.

What you will do:

  • Scheduling client appointments
  • Answering calls and attending to walk-in clients
  • Conducting client follow-ups and appointment reminders via phone
  • Communicating with manufacturers and ordering hearing aids
  • Performing hearing screenings and communicating results to parents/guardians while supporting the Infant Hearing Program (training provided)
  • Filing, data entry, and billing
  • Providing support with cleaning and troubleshooting hearing aids, changing receivers, and cleaning ear molds (training provided)
  • Ordering and managing office supplies

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working in a healthcare organization with hands-on exposure to clients is required
  • A diploma/degree in a healthcare-related program is an asset
  • Previous experience working in the hearing healthcare industry is an asset
  • Personable, calm, and easy-going attitude with the ability to provide empathy to clients
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain organized to meet deadlines and customer appointments
  • Strong desire to work as part of a close-knit team
  • A passion for working with a wide range of clients (including infants)
