Overview:
We are looking for a caregiver with previous experience with a baby to work with our 14 month old. We are looking for someone who can either do 2 full days (ranging from 6-8 hours) or able to do 3 or 4 split shifts (mornings or afternoons).
Note: This would be an ideal position for a student in the ECE program who is committed, responsible and reliable.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare children’s meals and feed them (including bottle-feeding for babies)
- Change diapers
- Put down for scheduled naps
- Tidy up play areas and children’s room
- Work with parents to provide suitable activities and learning
- Focus will always be on providing attention and care to child
Requirements and Skill
- Previous and documented experience with a 1 year old
- Patience and calmness is key
- Full G drivers licence, in case of emergencies
- Willing to work in a home with surveillance
- Knowledge of first aid and crisis management, first aid certification preferred
Compensation:
- $16.00 to $20.00/hr, negotiable and dependent on experience
