CNC Operator (afternoons) - Burlington Location

Responsibilities
Reporting into the CNC Supervisor, the CNC Operator is responsible for the accurate and timely machining of Burloak parts. A critical function within the company, Burloak CNC Operators exhibit keen attention to detail and ensure the highest of quality standards when building products. Parts that are built by the team are relied upon by Burloak production as well as in the factories of the world’s leading companies.
Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Operating of CNC machines
- Manufacturing of parts to engineered drawings and specifications
- Setting up CNC Machine to customer and drawing specific requirements
- Performing changeover of tools and set-up jaws on CNC Lathes and CNC Mills
- Understanding and interpreting G and M codes using Fanuc controls
- Utilization of precise measuring equipment
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings including familiarity with GD&T
- Understand and interpreting CNC programs
Maintenance & Quality Inspection
- Performing daily pre-start-up inspection of equipment & machines as required
- Perform and document in-process quality checks as required including first-off approvals
- Deburring and polishing of production parts to meet quality requirements
- Performing maintenance on CNC equipment & machines
- Establishing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) as required
- Organizing and putting tools away in assigned areas
- Adhering to all Health & Safety rules and regulations
- Adhering to all Plant rules and other safe requests from supervisory personnel
Cross Departmental Administration and Coordination:
- Accurately recording machine hours usage per job
- Completing in-process documentation, including times in Internal Work Orders (IWO)
- Being part of a work environment that promotes success, teamwork and continuous improvement
- Making recommendations to the Supervisor to improve productivity and quality
- Acting as a technical source of information for Supervisor as required
- Any other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor

Training
- Training provided as required
- Outside training, company funds up to 100% of fees
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $21.00-$33.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
