About the role

As a Senior Operator within our dedicated teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in the whisky production process and will oversee and control all site production and process activities. You’re going to be responsible for both manual and automated production, recording, and management reporting systems. We want to see how you will optimise our production processes to maximise our performance.

You will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of our distillery, and work safely within the operational team to ensure that you are delivering against Key Performance Indicators and targets including quality, efficiency, energy management, planning and cost efficiency. In doing so, you will develop operational, improvement, and maintenance skills to support a variety of on-site operations.

As a Senior Operator, you will deliver effective communications to other team members that work across a varied shift pattern, ensuring accurate and up to date handovers are complete, alongside general on-site housekeeping.

Health and safety compliance is key to this role, and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored.

Senior Operator roles cover a 7-day rota consisting of Night shift (22.00 - 06.00), Back shift (14.00 - 22.00), and Morning shift (06.00 - 14.00) working 3 out of 5 weekends.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems!

You’ll make this role your own. We want you to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. Both roles present a great opportunity to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and showcase your excellent communication skills.

It’d be beneficial if you had a General Certificate in Distilling
