We are in search of an experienced farm hand who is enthusiastic, proactive and willing to assist in all aspects of our mixed farming operation. Directly reporting to the farm managers and owner. you will be expected to be an excellent communicator and trustworthy. The mixed farming operation is 4000ha with 1500ha of cropping.
We are needing another operator to join our team for the upcoming seeding season in Winchelsea Victoria, The successful applicant will be required to confidently operate and maintain an air seeder and John Deere/ case Steiger tractor. Gps and air seeder experience highly beneficial. This role will be for 8weeks with opportunity to go fulltime for the right person!
Full-time role will include but is not limited to;
Machinery operating
Air seeder
Sowing
Spreading
Spraying
Harvesting
Hay/silage harvest
Maintenance
Livestock work
Mixer wagon
Must have good work ethic
Communication and trustworthy
Be Clean and tidy
Attention to detail
Want to learn
Own vehicle & tools - desirable
Gps & tractor experience - highly regarded
Truck license - not essential but handy
Mechanical skills, welding etc - desirable
Chemical certificate - not essential
Acup - not essential
Plenty of variety, located 30mins from geelong. Above award wages based on skills and experience. Share house available.
