We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team and help manage our organization’s procurement needs. Procurement Specialist responsibilities include researching new suppliers, ensuring that all purchased products and materials meet our specifications, and negotiating with vendors as needed. Ultimately, you will work with leaders in our organization to understand the needs of our organization and ensure we achieve our supply goals in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiation with suppliers for quality product pricing. Preparation of RFQ as per Material Requirement, Price comparison of Quotations from the various Suppliers and arranging Materials comply with the Standards and Procedure.
- Responsible for preparing purchase orders, requisitions, and other documentation, ordering supplies, materials, equipment, and services, and for gathering data.
- Maintain All Records of Suppliers Up to Date.
- Coordination of Store Keepers and Buyers with Procurement Crew and coordination of computer/Data Entry operators those assigned for material Data entry.
- Utilize sound decision-making skills to maintain efficiency and productivity, resolve various logistic related issues, and to overcome difficulties.
- Accountable for displaying initiative, attention to detail, and organizational skills while providing comprehensive procurement support.
- Fully responsible for maintaining professional and courteous communications, demeanor, and interactions with internal/external customers.
- Exhibit excellent leadership skills and attention quality as well as the ability to take ownership of projects and multi-task.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
- Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings
- Analyze industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred
