A boutique thoroughbred stud located in Kulnura on the Central Coast is looking for a hardworking and dedicated farm hand to assist with the day to day running of a breeding and spelling facility. This is a full time position, 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Some weekend work may be required. This is a great opportunity to join a close knit, enthusiastic team who are passionate about the wellbeing of horses. We pride ourselves on the presentation of each horse so attention to detail is a must.
Duties include but not limited to;
- Preparation of and feeding horses
- Handling horses of various ages
- Cleaning stables and paddocks
- Assisting with farrier and vet work
- Rugging horses
- General farm maintenance
- Mowing
- Basic medical treatments
Experience working with weanlings, yearlings and racehorses is desirable however ongoing training and support will be provided. There is the potential for the successful applicant to agist 1 horse with use of arena and stables/wash bay.
Please note that there is no public transport so a car and licence is essential.
Salary: $21.67 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
