Job Duties and Scope

  • Help in implementation of QU HSMS and/or other environmental and sustainability standards, strategies, programs, guidelines, action plans, national and international legislations and best practices adopted by the Environmental & Sustainability Section
  • Support and do Plants & Utilities Rooms Inspection including sites visits and reporting. - Conduct Drinking Water Quality Inspection and do the test and record the readings and prepare reports and do follow up monitoring
  • Support in inspect and audit Contractors & Construction sites by performing as required.
  • Participate in Sports Facilities Inspection activities and provide reports and follow up.
  • Conduct Cafeterias & Kitchens Safety Inspection covering all kind of mandatory food safety requirements for all kitchens, cafeterias/outlets among university facilities.
  • Participate and perform Laboratories Safety Inspections as per scheduled plan and provide initial reports and do regular follow up for observations close out.
  • Perform Chemical & Biohazard Spill Kits Inspections and provide reports and follow up
  • Conduct Compressed Gas Cylinders Inspections as per the schedule and provide reports.
  • Perform First Aid Kits Inspection as per the schedule and provide reports and follow up
  • Conduct Warehouses Safety Inspection as per schedule and provide reports.

  • Conduct General Building Safety Inspection as per the schedule and provide reports.
  • Conduct Classrooms Inspections and provide reports and do close out reports.
  • Conduct Offices Inspection and provide reports and follow of observations close out
  • Support in conducting of Health and Welfare Inspection and provide reports and follow up
  • Receive, Review PTW request documents/information and Register
  • Conduct pre-site visit, provide onsite required instructions & issue PTW
  • Participate in all kind of Emergency Evacuation Drills including pre site visit and reporting
  • Respond to all types of Incidents & participate in emergency management. - Conduct indoor air quality/Lights/noise levels measurements and prepare reports.
  • Support in performing of Risk assessments including and not limited to (Facilities / activities /event/space change assessment), and provide reports and maintain records.
  • Participate in delivery of Training and awareness as required. Support in Internal & External Audits management activities as required

Qualification & Experience

  • College graduate in Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Environment or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Health and safety - NEBOSH or IGC Certificate/Diploma
  • Basic Safety Officer training certificate from accredited institute.
  • Computer MS Office software user's knowledge and experience. Advanced First Aid Basic Safety Officer Training Certificate.
  • Internal audit training from accredited institution. ISO 45001 internal Auditor training from accredited institution.

Salary: QAR2,720.00 - QAR9,798.14 per month
