Truphone’s commercial team is providing insights and direction for the Truphone business and this is a critical and high profile role at the heart of our commercial activities. The Commercial team is responsible for the assessment and yield management of all customer facing relationships with enterprises, Internet of Things providers, Consumers and eSIM users.
The Head of Commercial will support the negotiation & delivery of new agreements working with the existing relationship and sales managers along with building relationships & working closely with IoT & Sales teams to ensure stronger commercial business cases. This role will also build and oversee the regional commercial strategy for delivering on the companies objectives as well as supporting and owning dedicated project initiatives across the group.

What you will do:

  • Lead company's global Commercial function for all lines of business, including: eSIM, Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) & Entitlements Server (ES) SaaS/PaaS, enterprise mobile connectivity, compliance mobile recording, and Internet of Things (IoT/M2M) and consumer;
  • Directly manage a team of skilled / senior commercial managers and analyst including the data team;
  • Ensure that team drive highly effective bid analysis using top quality business modelling techniques to enable profitable deal outcomes;
  • Manage the governance process for approval of deal constructs, proposals, and contracts;
  • Business partner Truphone's sales community to ensure that winning proposals are constructed, approved, and presented to customers;
  • Work across all functions (incl. wholesale, product, legal, finance, operations etc.) to ensure timely delivery of convincing commercials for customer opportunities with a clear focus yield management;
  • Be an internal and external proposition evangelist, providing in-house guidance & mentoring, and offering client-facing commercial support as needed;
  • Be the go-to expert on both revenue-side and cost-side of deal constructs across all business lines;
  • Collaborate with Business Insights team in enabling and promoting the culture of data driven decision making;
  • Actively engage in and lead on activities driving business profitability, incl. development of products, offerings, commercial strategies, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in economics, business or natural science with a strong focus on data analysis and financial management;
  • Driven, resilient, capable of thriving in a super-fast paced environment;
  • Excellent commercial skills and a strong analytical ability;
  • Excellent communicator; highly organised; forthright; driven; energetic; robust; able to work independently without supervision;
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically and translate strategic thinking into solid deliverables and plans;
  • Strong understanding of the mobile sector and technology;
  • Experience in a mobile industry and/ or commercial consultancy a plus;
  • Excellent English, verbal and in writing.
