About you
We are looking for an accomplished and results-driven Solutions Strategist to be responsible for strategic client engagement and associated strategic presales activities. You will provide cross-practice solutioning and envisioning oriented presales capability to represent Insight’s end-to-end capabilities to client stakeholders, for the purposes of understanding and aligning our expertise to client’s vision and business strategy.
Expertise we are looking for:
Prior experience in a dedicated presales-oriented role within a similar environment
Demonstrated experience driving new client services opportunities in technology-based contexts
Ability to drive sales, presales and new business development activities (with the Sales team)
Demonstrated experience in managing partners and senior stakeholders (to ‘C’ level)
Strong understanding and broad exposure across the Microsoft technology landscape:
Experience in mapping business needs to technology solutions
An understanding of consulting methodologies
Strong business and commercial acumen
Technical skills:
Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft solutions and ecosystem based around the Azure platforms and services applicable to Insight’s technical domains
Excellent verbal and written communications, with particular emphasis on formal proposals and communicating technical outcomes in business contexts
Certifications: Exposure to industry and IT methodologies & frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL and agile - desirable
Responsibilities will include: CLIENT ENGAGEMENT
Engaging with key stakeholders to build business awareness
Building individual stakeholder relationships to a ‘trusted advisor’ status
Representing all aspects of Insight Solutions’ capabilities in terms of our expertise, technologies, delivery approach, quality assurance, value proposition, partnerships etc.
Providing input to client roadmaps and strategies as appropriate, to influence future work programs.
Be responsible for understanding the client business goals and objectives and their IT strategy to be able to guide and advice Insight’s internal stakeholders on how to best align our capabilities to client’s vision.
SALES/PURSUIT
Ownership, coordination, and quality management for strategic/major pursuits:
Defining the overarching value proposition (‘story’) for the response
Defining and guiding our internal stakeholders to “Win Strategy” for the pursuit
Holistic positioning of Insight capabilities, IP and experience within the context of client requirements and outcomes
Liaising with Practice Leads/Managers and practice presales resources to consolidate response elements (e.g. estimates and architectures)
Assessing partner support/perspectives regarding the bid (e.g. Microsoft)
Assisting to refine presales and proposal collateral in collaboration with the Practices, Bid Manager, and other key parties
Input into strategy and execution of Insight profile in the regional market - conferences, user group participation, blogs, events etc.
Leading the creation of client proposals (with technical resource input)
