Global Brand Manager, Hoya

You will be responsible for:
25% of the role *. *Contribute to the development of a *long-term *global Hoya brand strategy **, including innovation strategy & pipeline and global assets development.

  • Identify the market intelligence, insights and best practices to support the delivery of the long-term global Hoya brand strategy, innovation pipeline and portfolio strategy and creating long-term competitive differentiation for Hoya brand.
  • Support broader business and industry-wide initiatives and events to establish Hoya Vision Care as a preferred partner of the Eye Care Professionals worldwide.

50% of the role *. *Lead *global Hoya marketing initiatives *in line with 18-month Global Hoya Brand planning cycle; manage day-to-day operations and coordination with cross-functional teams as well as local markets to ensure on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery of the projects for global roll out.

  • Develop, drive and coordinate global marketing initiatives as agreed in the annual plan.
  • Ensure that data driven internal analyses and category insights and foresights are the foundation of each brand initiative.
  • Establish a strong collaboration with relevant counterparts from the Core markets as well as the cross functional teams and agencies and act as a ‘go to’ person on the project specific matters for all stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the On-Time-In-Full global marketing deliverables to the local markets e.g. from value proposition, through marcom material development, till campaign toolkit cascade etc.
  • Track, measure and report marketing effectiveness and ROI on global campaigns and product launches.

25% of the role. Act as a global marketing *geo lead for the APAC & China Regions *ensuring strong two-way communication and collaboration between Global and Regional teams and excellent execution of global Hoya brand strategy, equity, innovation pipeline, new launches and marketing assets in the Region.

  • Working closely with the Region’s Marketing team, provide strategic data
  • and insight-based inputs to formulate Region’s strategic choices, portfolio optimisation decisions, investment choices and planning.
  • Oversee and support local adaptation and implementation of the global campaigns and product launches; ensure Global Marketing strategies, innovation pipeline, toolkits are being leveraged effectively to maximize commercial plans in the Region.
  • Recommend intervention & opportunity plans via on-going assessment of category/brand/customer business performance in the Region, act as a key point of contact in the Region for operational issues or opportunities.
  • Obtain and share insights on good and bad practices, ‘test & learns’ from the Region.
  • Organise and manage Quarterly Connect calls and other relevant collaboration forums with the Region’s marketing team.

To succeed in the role you must have

  • 10 years of generalist marketing experience in multinational company environment with proven track record in both B2B and B2C. Preferably come from the industries with a strong role of a healthcare expert in decision making eg consumer health, pharmaceuticals, wellness, medical devices, vision care.
  • 2-3 years of marketing/commercial experience in optical industry in a local or global role responsible for the APAC market. Ideally someone who lived in Asia for some time and has a good understanding of region’s cultural and business aspects.
