Kumon Reading Marker Position
This position is ideal for senior high school students or early university students who can work a minimum of 2 shifts per week (4 hours each) and commit for a minimum of one year.
You should also enjoy working with students and have a passion for education.
The ideal applicant MUST:
- Have strong English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills
- Have an excellent grasp of English grammar concepts
- Have strong organizational skills and be able to multi-task
- Be efficient and attentive to detail
- Show good, positive work ethic
- Learn quickly
- Be able to efficiently and accurately mark numerous worksheets for 4 hours without a break
- Be willing to complete tests and worksheets for his/her own development
- Be consistently available twice a week - Mondays, Tuesdays, and/or Fridays (3:30 pm - 7:30 pm)
- Commit for a minimum of one year, working at least two shifts per week
- Be in grade 11 or higher, or in early university
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience teaching or caring for young children
- Knowledge of the Kumon program and materials
- Demonstrate a good knowledge of English phonics (sounds)
- All applicants will be asked to take Kumon reading tests first. Successful applicants who demonstrate a strong grasp of the English language, including grammar concepts, reading comprehension and written skills will be invited for an interview._

Part-time hours: 8 per week
Salary: $16.75 per hour
