Kingston Optometry is a small modern Boutique-style optometry clinic established in 2012.
Our opening is for an optical salesperson. Primary responsibilities will include sales & dispensing of spectacles/ophthalmic products. Some carry over into receptionist and Optometric Assistant responsibilitlies will also be required in this multi-faceted position.
Clinic hours are 9-5 M,W-F. We are open 10:30-6:30pm on Tuesdays.
A preview of primary responsibilities includes:
Optical Sales
Assisting clients & customers with spectacle lens & frame selection, learning about optical products and how to best match them to patient needs, executing patient frame, lens and contact lens orders, dispensing glasses & contacts, fitting spectacles and spectacle repair.
Secondary responsibilities include:
Social Media
Running our social media platforms with frequent posts to advertise our practice and market our dispensary.
Reception
Welcoming patients, maintaining & managing the patient schedule, collecting payment, facilitating referrals and inter-office communications.
Optometric Assistant
Pre-testing patients, performing visual field testing and other ancillary ophthalmic testing, assisting patients with contact lens fittings.
Compensation & optional health benefits are competitive and are negotiable depending on experience.
The position is full time with a salary range of $18.00-$20.00 per hour. Employees‘ salary & benefits have historically grown as the practice has grown.
