The
*Payroll and Benefits Associate *will be responsible for full cycle processing of payroll (including bonus and off cycle payments as required) for our Europe team (UK, Netherlands, Romania, Portugal and Denmark). You will be supporting various People Operations functions as well as the Finance teams. You will also be a part of special projects that are away from day-to-day payroll duties.

What you'll be doing:

  • Execute end-to-end payroll processing for employees across multiple countries (mainly EMEA and APAC); ensuring timely processing, accuracy and adherence to local tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, benefits, Leaves and other relevant information in the payroll system. This will include regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and maintain data integrity.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefit plans; such as health insurance, retirement plans, pension plans, and a variety of total reward perks as per the company's policies.
  • Work in close collaboration with the People Operations and Finance team(s) to ensure clear, timely and solution-oriented communication. Ensure alignment with the HRIS systems and establish a regular cadence generating payroll reports.
  • Act as the main point of contact with global external payroll & benefits vendors to support integrations, address questions, and resolve issues. To this end, payroll implementation and project management will be expected in this role.
  • Keeping the employee experience top of mind, this role will respond to payroll and benefit-related questions, providing exceptional customer service and effective communication.
  • Participate in special projects, as needed, and provide support to the Finance or broader People Operations team.

What you'll bring:

  • Post-secondary education, ideally in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Accounting/payroll
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience administering full-cycle payroll processing across multiple countries
  • Experience with benefits administration is an asset
  • CIPP certification or an equivalent valid for the UK/Germany/EU is a strong asset
  • High level of skill with Google Sheets & Excel
  • A curious mind to remain up to speed with local payroll and tax laws and statutory requirements for all countries of operation.
