JOB DESCRIPTION Position: QA Assistant Department: Quality Assurance Reporting Line: QA Engineer 1. Position Objective: a) Responsible for the compliance of overall quality management systems b) Effective administration of QA/QC department c) Effective and efficient distribution, control, record and update of documentations according to the ISO standards. d) Reduce quality issues and unnecessary wastages 2. Key responsibilities & Accountabilities: a) Liaise with production personnel and other staffs on quality issues to solve problems, seek remedial and corrective action. b) Monitor compliance c) File customer complaints (Non-Conformance Report) and track and follow-up counter measures recommended by respective departments d) Generate quality report to track trend and patterns of product quality. e) Coordinate and assist in quality system audits and issue NCRs to non-conforming departments, after which to follow-up closely. f) Ensure that document and records control is maintained, filed and updated according to ISO procedures and standards. g) Manage COA (Certificate of Analysis) documentation from receiving including performing GRI (Good Receiving Inwards) h) Generate and/or documents/letters as requested by customer services like Food Grade Certificate, COC (Certificate Of Conformity), COA, Product/Safety Data Sheet, Technical Data Sheet and any other documents as requested i) Manage QA and Production samples are prepared including preparing sample for test, sample request from Business Development Team and Customer Service, finding sample for customer complain investigation j) Manage inventory or indirect material managed by QA to support production like hairnets, shoe coverings, printed forms, labels and stationaries including placing purchase orders k) Assist in QA laboratory in testing (mechanical, chemical and biological) and monitoring l) Contribute to at least one quality improvement projects per quarter m) Abide all rules and regulations n) Perform any other job or task as assigned by superior. 3. Skills and competencies: a) Ability to give attention to detail. b) Possess drive, motivation and resourcefulness. c) Aggressive, dynamic and result oriented. d) Good analytical and problem-solving skills. e) Good knowledge in QC methods/procedures/tools f) Basic knowledge in managing and implementing the certification standards 4. Performance Measures and Standards: a) Task are completed on time and with quality b) Quality improvement project progress and results c) Adherence to keeping good record practices d) Well maintained and updated document and sample filing system
