Primary purpose of job
The purpose of the job is to supervise, coordinate and execute all wellhead activities including investigation, repair, and

review and to make recommendations related to well integrity operations in all QatarEnergy offshore fields.

  1. Investigate and establish wellhead integrity by testing wellhead cavities and identifying any leaks paths in order to ensure

that well barriers are effective and wellhead integrity is being maintained on each well.

  1. Repair, test and replace x-mas trees and gate valves on wells with leakages by assisting and coordinating with field

support department in order to maintain safety and well integrity status on each well.

  1. Identify primary or secondary wellhead barrier leakage in case of leakage through wellhead by pressure testing annuli

and monitoring the leakage through test port in order to ascertain the actual physical condition of each wellhead barrier.

  1. Plan and execute P seal Re energizing repair jobs by coordinating with the Contractor and creating RO, SES and Job

Reports to repair the existing known failures of the wellhead barriers and thereafter attempt to rectify the leakage.

  1. Maintain the wellhead and integrity related departmental procedures (DRM) by reviewing and improving existing

procedures and to align them with API and industry standards and practices.

  1. Formulate recommendations for improvement and submit suggestions to the Continuous Improvement Process CIP

Committee to improve procedures and working practices to ensure use of the right equipment for the right conditions.

  1. Review and maintain wellhead activity data by uploading to the Well Integrity Management System WIMS to enhance

planning and decision making with easy access to the well history and current wellhead status.

  1. Review and conduct trail jobs related to new repair and investigative technologies by coordinating with vendors and

service providers to ensure a clear objective and fit for purpose execution program.

  1. Contribute to the development of trainee Qatari staff by providing theoretical and practical hands-on experience at well

site pertaining to wellhead and well in general to achieve Qatarization Objectives.

  1. Enhance HSE performance by following company HSE policies and complying with the Department Life Saving Rules

and by attending all required HSE trainings order to ensure that department HSE targets are achieved or surpassed.

Experience & Skills

  • At least 10 years experience in offshore wellhead activities (FMC, Cameron, Delta, Vetco Grey & Breda Wellheads).
  • Offshore Experience with H2S & CO2 Environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of oil industry practices and specification such as API standards and recommended practices.
  • Knowledge of computer programs (Excel-Word-PowerPoint-Outlook).
  • Fluent in English (demonstrated verbal and written skills)
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Commitment and passion for managing HSE.
  • Ability and confidence to make operational decisions based on methodical analysis and meticulous attention to detail.

Education:

  • BSc. in an engineering discipline (Preference for Petroleum Engineering)
