Job scope -Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards -Training and overseeing workers on safety procedures and practices to prevent injuries or accidents -Supervising and instructing the construction team as well as subcontractors -Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol -Coordinating first aid treatment and medical evacuation in cases of serious injury or illness -Providing first aid treatment to injured workers, using knowledge of medical terminology, bandaging techniques, and other basic medical procedures -Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries. -Maintaining accurate records of accident data and near-miss incidents, which can be used to identify problem areas and create solutions -Conducting regular check-ups on equipment such as lifts, cranes, scaffolding, and electrical equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and safe to use -Monitoring the work environment to ensure that safety standards are met by workers and contractors -Reviewing safety procedures and equipment to ensure that they are adequate for the task at hand -Conducting training sessions on site safety (toolbox meeting) Job requirement - Valid Yellow Book holder registered with Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) - At least three (1) years working experience as site safety supervisor - Must have excellent communication skills on all fronts - Must be someone that pays keen attention to details at all times - Must have good organizational abilities - Must be able and willing to coordinate the activities of other workers in safety-related matters - Must be someone that has good interpersonal skills - Must be proactive and diligent in carrying out your duties - Must never delay in acting towards any hazardous situation - Possession of excellent leadership skills is a must
