About the Role

In this role you will be responsible for completing tasks like:

  • Planning and Executing Fibre Installations.
  • Identifying and analysing any foreseeable issues in installation of fibre in the designated area and coming up with solutions to those issues.
  • Ensure that work area is appropriate in context of safety, technical specifications, reach etc.
  • Engaging customer in the installation process by making him aware of the process and any issues and discrepancies (if any). Get the consent form signed and ensure that customer have read and understood the terms and conditions.
  • Identifying service and the boundary, install lead in from boundary to customer premises by aerial/trench/surface.
  • Scoping the Delivery Address.
  • Prepare Reports/ Project Documentation.
  • Fibre Optic Splicing, Jointing, Hauling or Internal Cabling.
  • Implementing Computer Networks.
  • Job scheduling.
  • Installing, configuring and testing of Optical Network Terminal (ONT) and Fibre Terminal Point (FTP) for ultra-fast broadband.
  • Installing, troubleshooting, repairing and replacing peripherals like controllers, routers, modems, switches and UPS equipment.
  • Duct Laying and working around other underground services.
  • Underground Hauling and Open Trenching where required.
  • Multi Dwelling Buildings and SDU Cabling and Networking including surveying.
  • Providing technical advice to customer/client and monitor the performance of Network and Network Security.
  • All other tasks as required.
  • Either a qualification or experience in the telecommunications industry or a willingness to learn.
  • Have sound organizing, leadership and technical
  • Be available to work on weekends and public
  • Excellent communication Skills.
