Our client is an International Corporation diversified manufacturing company operating in five areas:
Electronics, Engraving, Engineering Technologies, Specialty Solutions, and Scientific divisions. They are a market-leading manufacturing brand recognized for their quality and innovation with representation in 46 places around the world, To grow their Finance Team located in Porto (Portugal), we're recruiting an Accountant (M/F) to support all Finance activities for the group's EMEA region. Primary responsibilities:
- Ensure, together with Reporting & Controlling Team Leader, the fulfillment of all reporting activities in line with local and group deadlines;
- Perform period-end activities, such as booking of manual journal entries, accruals, and provisions and deferrals:
Perform inventory accounting and post adjustments; Process fixed asset accounting, including creation, additions, depreciation, disposals, and transfers; Revaluation and adjustments; Intercompany accounting; Balance sheet reconciliation and account maintenance, ensuring they give an accurate and fair view of company's business; - Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Closing (Sales, Accounting, Taxes, and other ad-hoc analysis;
- Review the Monthly Accounting Closing;
- Review and propose provisions for doubtful debts and guarantees to customers as well as any appropriate accounting;
Provide sales review, margin analysis, and profitability. Minimum qualifications:
Academic Degree in Accounting or Business Management;
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Accounting;
- Proficiency in English and Italian;
Results-oriented, with the ability to identify issues and follow through with efficient, effective solutions. Preferred qualifications:
Chartered Accountant preferred;
