Kelly Services is recruiting a Head of Post-Harvest Processing for a company located in Ourique.

  • Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences preferably, or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Biology combined with Pharma experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience in a production environment preferable in a GMP regulated industry.
  • Strong written and communication skills in Portuguese and English.
  • Very organized, detailed oriented, capable of working under pressure.
  • Able to draft, review, approve and manage internal production documents.
  • Strong abilities in people management and production scheduling.
  • Able to train and supervise staff and ensure full adherence to procedures.
  • Capable of learning fast and adapting to changes and multiple tasks.
  • Have a very good understanding of Quality principles and an appropriate mindset. Knowledge of Eudralex Volume 4 guidelines is considered a benefit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of a team of up to 30 employees.
  • Participating in creation, approval, periodical review of production procedures.
  • Responsible to ensure practical compliance and activities execution in accordance with defined SOPs/QMS within the Post-harvest department.
  • Supervision and responsible for Post-harvest departament activities.
  • Capable to provide training in Post-harvest department activities.
  • Scheduling production activities and coordinating the available manpower to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Reporting production activities and KPIs to executive management.
  • Participating in various company programs such as: process validation, product quality reviews, deviations, customer complaints, internal audits, etc.
  • Overview of production supplies inventory.
  • Responsible for the safety of employees and enforcement of mandatory protective equipment
