Purchasing Assistant (Vernon)

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in using purchasing software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of lighting industry is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Purchasing Manager in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, supplies, and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and other related documents.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the inventory control team to optimize stock levels.
  • Assist in identifying cost
  • Aving opportunities and potential alternative suppliers.
  • Conduct market research and stay up to date with industry trends and pricing.
  • Assist assembly and shipping departments with inventory needs
  • Support the purchasing team with administrative tasks as needed.
