Job Title: Survey Party Chief
Location: West Palm Beach
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
DESCRIPTION:
The Survey Party Chief will be responsible for conducting daily field road surveying, ensuring accurate measurements, layout, and as-builts. This role plays a crucial part in providing essential field data for shaping, contouring, locating, and constructing designs. The Survey Party Chief will utilize global positioning systems (GPS) and/or Robotic Total Station to perform layout and as-built surveys for roadway and highway construction. Additionally, the Survey Party Chief will serve as a mentor and guide for junior survey personnel and field construction employees.
Responsibilities:
Layout road construction projects according to specifications. Assist field supervision with day-to-day field construction layout tasks. Manage multiple jobs and daily workload effectively. Adhere to company employee practices and safety standards. Ensure compliance with roadway design layout standards. Maintain a clean driving record and possess a valid driver's license.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in construction road surveying Strong knowledge and experience with Trimble/Topcon field equipment and software, including SCS900 software, SPS730, SOS930, SPS720, and TSC7 1-5 years of field experience in roadway construction and field improvements Proficient in mathematical skills for solving survey problems and verifying office calculationsKey Competencies:

Ability to work well within a team. Strong communication skills, both upstream and downstream. Willingness to travel within the work area from Daytona Beach, FL to West Palm Beach, FL (company vehicle provided). Punctual reporting and proactive communication regarding absences. Maintains the work vehicle in a neat and orderly manner. Completes all duties on time as per schedule. Willingness to perform other field duties as required by the Survey Manager.
