Loneliness and isolation is a huge issue among our elderly community.
According to Age UK, half a million older people go at least 5 days a week without speaking to anyone at all. As a Caregiver for Right at Home Stevenage, Letchworth and Hitchin, you can help support the vulnerable in their own homes and make a difference at a time when it has never counted so much.
Previous care experience is not essential however a kind and caring attitude certainly is.
Are You New to Home Care?
To ensure you are fully prepared all staff to undertake a thorough in-house training program followed by regular ongoing and refresher training. Your initial home visits will always be carried out with a experienced CareGiver until you ‘find your feet’. You will also have management support on every home visit you then make.

The Role
Our Caregivers spend a minimum of 1 hour with each of our elderly private clients who live in their own homes.
Duties differ from visit to visit. Whilst some clients require varying levels of Personal Care (including washing, dressing and personal hygiene), many just need a little help getting their meals prepared or keeping on top of basic housework, gardening or going to the shops.
Hours of work
Working from a flexible shift pattern of *5pm until 10pm in the evenings and alternate weekends in the Stevenage, Letchworth and Hitchin* and surrounding areas.
Requirements of our CareGivers:
We need people who are looking to enhance the lives of our clients and make each day fun and enjoyable. From enjoying good conversation to going out to their favourite shops, we want to make each visit a great one!
- Must hold a full and valid UK or EU/EEA driving licence and have access to own vehicle
- Have a genuine passion to want to help others
