Tutor Doctor are an approved partner with Essex Council for Alternative Provisions. We are urgently looking for qualified Maths and English teachers who can teach GCSE/Functional Skills level, keen to start ASAP with this student in Braintree.
Student: AB (female)
Location: Braintree Library CM7 3YL
Year: 10
Subjects: Maths and English - Functional Skills
Lessons: 1:1 F2F, 2 hours per day, 4 days a week
Availability: Daytime between 9am-3pm
Background: ASD. Weak ability, social anxiety
You should ideally be living in Essex and be available for 1:1 tutoring lessons during the daytime with a previous SEN background of working in UK schools/colleges as a PGCE/QTS Teacher or a TA.
The role:
- F2F In-Person Tutor - 1:1 lessons
- with SEN students including Autism and ADHD.
- Maths, English, Science
- Functional Skills and GCSE Level.
- Travelling to the student at home/school/library around Chelmsford/Braintree.
- 4 hours per week to 10 hours per week (per student).
- Lessons: MTWTF daytime between 9am-3.30pm.
- Assessing student's knowledge regularly.
- Being a mentor to students.
- Flexibility to take on as many students as you like, dependent on your experience and availability.
Requirements:
- PGCE/QTS Qualified Teacher: Useful
- SEN experience: Essential
- Teaching Experience with young persons in a UK school/college setting: Essential
- communication skills - written and spoken
- Living in Essex - Essential
- Enhanced DBS check - Essential
- Safeguarding Level 2 - Essential

Job Types: Temporary, Contract, Part-time
Salary: £15.00-£30.00 per hour
