We seek a highly professional, collaborative, and energetic Community Engagement Manager to join the Melbourne Girls Grammar Marketing and Community Engagement team. This position reports to the Executive Director Marketing and Community Engagement and works collaboratively to identify and cultivate strong ties between our broader community and the School.
You will be meticulous in your organisational skills to ensure that communications are clear, encourage engagement, build awareness of our culture and programs, and generate loyalty. You have the capacity to plan workflows, operationalise ideas, and exercise good judgement. You delight in engaging with people across different segments of our community to identify opportunities and create relevant programs and activations..
This role requires a person who understands the complexity of a school, the engagement people have across different stages of their lives, and the myriad personalities and cultural backgrounds that go to make up a vibrant and diverse community. You will have a proven track record in working as a team player and as a collaborative partner across different departments. Also critical is the ability to quickly develop a deep understanding of the School - its values and strategic direction to ensure all engagement activities are aligned to fostering sustainable engagement with key stakeholders, specifically alumnae, parents, and friends. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating opportunities for connection across all ages, interests, and backgrounds and that ultimately enable our community to celebrate its diversity and be inclusive.
Key deliverables for this role include:
- Develop an annual Engagement Plan consistent with the overarching vision and strategy for MGGS.
- Design and manage a program of value-added activities and activations that build strategic and sustainable engagement with key stakeholders, specifically alumnae, parents, and friends recognising their diversity of interests and demographics so as to encourage inclusion and effective engagement.
- Work with the Executive Director, Marketing and Community Engagement to foster strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and our volunteer network including the OG Society, PA Committee, Navy Blue Committee, and parent-led auxiliaries.
- Manage alumnae reunions, networking opportunities and mentoring programs that optimise attendance and encourage ongoing engagement with the School.
- Maintain a commitment to celebrating alumnae and their individual successes (profiles, and awards) including the administration of the annual Emily Hensley Award.
- Plan and curate relevant communications to promote programs of engagement activities, using appropriate channels including MGGS’s digital platforms to the relevant community segments to encourage participation and/ or engagement.
