We are advancing the COPD indication launch and need to support our NHS partners and customers, improving standards of care and ensuring a strong advocacy for the alliance immunology portfolio.
The Respiratory Professional Relations Lead is a strategic commercial role with responsibility for the management and development of key customers as advocates to support Sanofi’s Immunology Portfolio in respiratory and key initiatives (existing and pipeline).
Job responsibilities
Deliver advocacy for our brands to optimise support for the Sanofi Immunology Portfolio (existing & pipeline)
- In collaboration with account teams, develop and implement a national professional relations plan to develop advocacy for the Immunology Portfolio in priority accounts, deliver key tactics in line with brand strategy.
- Actively engage cross functionally to obtain insights on customers, access and advocacy.
- KPIs:_ Brand awareness and advocacy measured by market research
Management and development of KOLs
- In close collaboration with medical affairs, and commercial team, leads the validation and development of the key opinion leader stakeholder map, at all levels (e.g. Young Consultants, Specialist Nurses, SpR’s, KOLs) creating IDPs for each stakeholder.
- Identifies opportunities for engagement with and development of customers based on their insights and interests and manage engagement opportunities in line with the professional relations plan.
- Drive innovation in partnership with customers to unlock potential and overcome barriers in the disease management space.
- Forms long lasting partnerships with Immunology KOLs in the relevant therapy area to enhance the reputation of Sanofi Regeneron UKIE and global.
- Works compliantly in partnership with the Medical team (HO & Field) to ensure that advocacy plans support the pipeline and clinical development opportunities to build brand advocacy & strategic partnerships during the R&D and marketed phase.
- KPIs:_ design and completion of the KOL stakeholder mapping and execution of the KOL engagement plan. Reach and impact vs target.
Cross Functional working
- Acts as a point of contact between key opinion leaders the Alliance. Responsible for the engagement, including facilitation of the activities the key opinion leader is involved with across Sanofi UKIE and global (excluding clinical studies).
- Contributes to sales, medical and brand team meetings as an extended team member to provide stakeholder insights, share information and contribute to decisions relating to customer engagement.
- Ensures proactive and high-quality input into Brand Plans and Strategic Plans in line with customer needs.
- Develop relationships with key contacts in Corporate (Region, Global) in order to share best practice; optimise engagement opportunities, take part in cross-functional transformation programmes; obtain acceptance of and approval of UKIE projects; and influence global Sanofi policy with respect to key opinion leaders in line with compliance requirements.
- Responsible (in partnership with medical affairs) for ensuring that any key opinion leader engaged to provide a service for Sanofi during commercial promotional meetings is briefed effectively to enable them to discuss the appropriate Sanofi brands in the context of the disease area.
- Co-ordinates the engagement with scientific societies / professional associations in the therapy area including executing directly or indirectly with appropriate team members for Sanofi attendance at commercial promotional meetings (N.B. Patient organisations managed by Public Affairs / Patient Advocacy role).
