Support Worker

Bliss Nursing is a registered provider for Home Care Packages and NDIS. We are looking for qualified and experienced carers with a passion to assist and help the community. Our carers are bilingual, diverse and culturally aware.

To be successful in the role of a disability support worker, an individual needs to be:

  • Empathetic and have great people and communication skills
  • Physically able to carry out the duties required by the role
  • Adaptable and have great problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently, with access to their own vehicle
  • Able to efficiently perform domestic and care duties

Typical duties and responsibilities of a disability support worker include the following:

  • Assisting with personal care, such as daily hygiene and getting dressed
  • Helping with household chores, such as cooking, laundry and cleaning
  • Taking clients grocery shopping
  • Transporting clients to medical appointments
  • Providing social support to clients and helping them engage in social activities
  • Providing emotional support and an open ear

Ideally, we are looking for someone who is available Monday-Friday from 9am-11am and Monday-Friday 11pm-6am

Job Type: Casual

Salary: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week

Experience:

  • support work: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification (preferred)
  • Driver Licence (preferred)
  • National Police Certificate (required)

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia (required)

Ability to Commute:

  • Sydney, NSW (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Sydney, NSW: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
