You will be working in our East Tamaki manufacturing facility and be a part of the operations team. Utilise your leadership experience and great organisational skills to help support and strengthen the day-to-day aspects of the Extrusion Department and lead the team in its overall performance.
Your new role will include assisting in the below areas:
- Risk control - WHS&E and business risk
- Scheduling
- Waste Management
- Staffing/Training
- Documentation/Trouble Shooting
- Quality Control
- Compliance to food safety and other industry standards
- On-time delivery of 'in specification' products to customers
- Ensuring all employees are aware of the security and safety procedures
Qualifications To be considered, you will require**:
- Full working rights in New Zealand
- Proven Plastics Extrusion experience
- Blown film extrusion experience preferred
- Experience in Polymer Extrusion or Polymer Processing will be advantageous if Blown Film Extrusion experience isn’t applicable
- A strong sense of accountability, responsibility, and attention to detail
- A superior sense of urgency
- A positive attitude and ability to take ownership of your work
- Motivation and drive to exceed targets and meet required timeframes
- Willingness to continually improve the way you operate, and your working environment.
- Mechanical aptitude, solve problems and machine troubleshooting
- Ability to prioritise work tasks and able to follow instructions
- Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to set and operate extrusion machine
