About the role
We are looking for a qualified Power Technician to be based in our New Plymouth Depot. You will be a key member of our Technician team providing services including construction, maintenance, and fault diagnosis/rectification on all network equipment and installations. You will be working on existing and state of the art high spec equipment associated with HV protection, SCADA, Comms.

Ideally, you will be a skilled Power Technician with HV, substation or power transmission experience. To really impress us, you will also have knowledge of SCADA Communications; however, we will support further training to develop your career.
It is essential that you offer
- A relevant technical qualification in the Power Industry
- Current New Zealand practising license
- Full NZ Driver's License
- Experience working with HV Protection system / schemes and installation
- Experience working with High Voltage substations primary plant and secondary systems
- Experience working with High Voltage and Low Voltage plant / assets
- Experience with the maintenance and installation of SCADA and communication equipment is desirable
- A methodical aptitude with attention to detail including an ability to work under pressure
- Extensive industry related experience is desirable
- Team and customer focused
- Excellent commitment to Health and Safety
