We are seeking a talented Commis-Butcher to join our team at our unique hotel. As a Commis - Butcher, you will be responsible for assisting our head butcher in preparing and portioning a variety of meats for our restaurant. You will work closely with our culinary team to ensure that only the highest quality cuts of meat are served to our guests.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Assist the Head Butcher in the preparation and cutting of meat products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the butchery area.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist in monitoring inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Follow recipes and portion sizes accurately.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service.
What do we need from you?
- Previous experience working as a commis butcher or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of different types of meat cuts and cooking techniques.
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.
