- Material Selection
- Preparation of technical documents for piping, fittings and accessories
- Design of piping/pipeline installations
- Preparation of valve specifications and technical sheets
- Preparation of valve schedule, equipment list and MTO
- Knowledge of ASME, API, BPVC, MSS-SP, ASTM, NFPA, BS, ISO, TEMA, NACE... and ARAMCO, PETRONASstandards
- Preparation of the technical files for tenders
- Preparation of the technical submittals
- Verification of supplier documentation
- Meeting and negotiation with the client and the supplier
- Understanding of piping & instrument diagram (P&ID), process flow diagram (PFD), line sizing, sizing of equipment
- Preparation of technical documents in response to tender requirements, like method statements, Project execution plan, time schedules, management plans, etc.
- Assist in preparing cost data for proposals and contract negotiations
- Determine proposal scope, define requirements
- Develop and implement requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards programs, and reports
- Vendor selection & follow up to get budgetary offers for system equipment
- Preparation of RFQs and communication with suppliers
- Support sales effort with timely response to technical and commercial questions from clients on multiple product lines.
- Communicate with supplier to solve and conclude technical issues
- Attending meeting with client to discuss technical issues
- Coordinate bid and bid management with other departments
