*VVS Investments Limited *looking for an experienced Heavy Truck Driver based in Auckland. Full time role minimum 40 hours/week.

Pay starts from: $29.66 per hour to $31 per hour depending on skills and experience.

The role includes:

  • Driving and manouevering heavy truck & trailer.
  • Loading and Unloading.
  • Pre-checks of vehicle before each trip - including oil, water, fuel, air pressure levels are in line with road safety and vehicle safety standards.
  • Ensuring goods are strapped down correctly and removed safely.
  • Inspecting goods for damage & complete incident reports for the depot Manager.
  • Log books to be completed accurately in full & submitted timely.
  • Ensure truck and trailer are kept clean & tidy.
  • Comply with all traffic laws at all times.
  • Heavy lifting also required.
  • Valid Class 4 and Class 5 license.
  • DG endorsement and Forklift certificate will be an advantage.
  • Minimum one-year experience working as a Truck Driver.
  • Must have reversing skills as well as knowledge and experience to op
  • erate manual gearbox.
  • Experience and knowledge of strapping and securing the load.
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety & Logbook requirements.
  • Be flexible with hours and available to work in any shift when required including night shift.
  • Availability to drive on weekends.
  • Able to pass pre-employment police, health and drug testing & has NO Criminal History.
  • Work in conditions that may be stressful, including poor weather and Heavy Traffic.
  • Mechanically minded would be an advantage.
  • Able to communicate clearly and positively.
  • Time management skills, a positive, enthusiastic attitude, and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Good level of physical fitness.
