Job Title: Kitchen Hand
- Place of Work:Chim Thai Restaurant at 111 Thomas Road, Rototuna, Hamilton 3210
- Work hours: 30 - 40 hours weekly, Tuesday to Sunday, between 11:00 am and 9:30 pm. The Employer will roster actual hours to be worked from time to time.
- Wage: $ 28.18 to $ 30.00

We are Chim Thai at Rototuna, Hamilton. We are currently seeking a full-time Kitchen hand to join our busy team.
Key Tasks and Areas:
To work under the supervision of the Assistant Cooks. The Kitchen Hand is responsible for preparing food as directed, cleaning the kitchen, and organising cooking utensils.
- Preparing vegetables
- Cleaning food preparation equipment, floors, and other kitchen tools or areas
- Cleaning up spillages when they occur
- Disposing of rubbish
- Ensuring proper use of chemical/cleaning products and ensuring they are stored appropriately.
- Following all hygiene and Health and Safety regulations within the kitchen food preparation areas
- Kitchen and front-of-house cleaning
- Washing dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using the dishwashers or by hand
- Rinsing all dishes before putting them into the dishwasher
- Drying dishes and glasses and returning them to their respective storage areas
- Performing any other reasonable tasks as may be requested.
Requirements:
- Hospitality experience is preferred but not compulsory as we will provide training.
- Some Thai language skills would be an advantage.
