We are Hamilton based licensed cafe providing the very best delicious food.Due to the business requirement. We need 1 full time duty manager to join our business urgently.
- At least 1 year relating full time working experience required
- Alcohol license is preferable
- Adaptable to change and able to multi-tasks
- Able to work under pressure
Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead the team on each shift to ensure they provide quality and efficient service and the company service standards are upheld.
- Check customers are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems, ensuring they receive prompt and quality service and food
- Manage customer complaints, dealing with them appropriately.
- Hit all financial targets.
- Interviewing and training the team on relevant information that will assist them to do their jobs better, including how to handle difficult situations
- Planning and making rosters to the staff
- Taking inventory of food and ordering new stock
- Escort customers to their tables.
- Work as a team to take orders, set, serve and clear tables.
- Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
- Present menus to customers and answer questions about dishes and make recommendations.
- Check customers’ identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcohol.
- Uphold responsible service of alcohol requirements.
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for cleaning.
- Prepare final checks, deal with payment and cash handling.
- Stock service areas with supplies as needed.
- Remain polite and courteous at all times.
- Go out of your way to help the customers in order to create regular and loyal customers.
- Assist in the kitchen when required to do dishes, food prep etc.
- At the end of your shift ensure everything is left tidy and restocked for the next person i.e. clean milk jugs, back flush machine, grab anything you need from the back they might need such as milk, take away cups/lids etc.
- Ensure the coffee station, service areas and bar are well stocked and tidy i.e. milk, choc sauce, napkins, cups etc.
NZ residence or a valid work visa is required.
