We are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse Operator to join our clients dynamic and fast-paced team. The typical working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, from 6.30am to 3.30pm, with every 4th Saturday starting at 6:30am until the end of the shift, all in compliance with legal lunch breaks.
Role Overview:
As a Warehouse Operator, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and improve service levels to support continuous development. This includes unloading and sorting incoming goods, picking, staging, and loading outgoing goods, ensuring excellent housekeeping standards, and complying with all health and safety requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trailers accurately and complete associated paperwork.
- Sort orders and verify them against paperwork.
- Prepare orders for dispatch.
- Perform general warehouse duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the warehouse and yard.
- Checking off delivery dockets.
- Scan and record freight.
- Complete tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
- Load vehicles efficiently.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Valid counterbalance forklift operator's license is essential.
- Basic knowledge of computerised inventory systems and warehouse operations.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Relevant experience in a warehouse environment.
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Familiarity with delivery documentation and paperwork.
