VACANCY:
We are recruiting a purchasing expert to join the Supply Chain Team as Foreign Purchasing Supervisor as per the following details:

  • Grade:C01/C02
  • Reporting to:Purchasing Manager

Job Purpose:
The job is all about searching, connecting and negotiating suppliers on behalf of MultiCare Egypt to ensure the best deals

A. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research potential vendors and suppliers and comparing their offers and prices including reagents, instruments, materials etc
  • Review, update and maintain the preferred suppliers list and conduct the due diligence for new recommendation of inclusion as appropriate
  • Ensure that purchase orders are provided in the right place, in the required quantity, in the right quality and on time
  • Daily follow-up for all shipments to ensure that suppliers deliver on time and resolve issues with suppliers when shipments delayed
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of agreement with the selected vendors and suppliers
  • Track placed orders and ensure timely delivery of the purchased products and services
  • Review the quality and condition of the purchased materials, products and services and reporting any issues or discrepancies confirming that with the GRN
  • Prepare reports and analyses on the purchases, costs, and market trends
  • Participate in developing, implementing and evaluating purchasing plans, work processes, systems and procedures to achieve annual goals, objectives
  • Track purchase orders, monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current database of vendor information
  • Drive continuous improvement in collaboration with internal and external teams towards implementing process optimizations
  • Perform or coordinate activities involved with purchasing goods and services such as, equipment, tools, and supplies
  • Ensure the implementation of instructions regarding purchasing policies and procedures and directs purchasing programs accordingly
  • Ensures the provision of goods and services that support the achievement of overall business objectives
  • Verify of purchase orders, requisitions and associated invoices for equipment purchases
  • Communicate with supplier changes in specifications, change orders, quantities, and adjustments
  • Ensure orders are acknowledged correctly, and that any notes of delays, back-orders, and other relevant information are present and complete
  • Review purchased item quantities on PO’s vs actual demand from Production Plan
  • Interface with Demand Planning to plan and prioritize purchasing activities; reviews purchasing plan and creates PO’s

B.Qualification/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Level of education:Life Science Degree (Pharmacy, Veterinary or Science)
  • Experience: 3- 5 years previous experience of similar role is mandated in Pharmaceutical Sector - Multinational experience is an advantage:

  • Language:English proficiency is mandated

  • IT Literacy:Professional MS-Office knowledge
