Director, *Meetings & Events - Asia-Pacific* (Individual Contributor Role)**

Position Overview

In this role the Director, Asia-Pacific (APAC) Meetings and Events will serve as the key strategy partner with business leaders and stakeholders across the Asia-Pacific functions to support strategic management of their meetings and events. In this role you will be responsible for prioritizing and operationalizing complex programs to deliver consistent service that align with organizational goals in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for the development, design, and delivery of these programs by aligning resources (external business partners/suppliers) and networking with team members within The Coca-Cola Company System while considering the standard and policies for this region. This position reports to the Global Meetings & Events Director and will manage a high performing team of Coca-Cola associates, suppliers, and will work with team members within the broader Coca-Cola Company system.

What *You’ll Do for Us*

  • Managing the strategic and tactical operations across the geography while ensuring compliance, efficiencies, and supporting adherence to internal policies and guidelines
  • Building relationships with business leaders to proactively assess future needs and opportunities for strategic alignment
  • Deliver event financials including forecasting and reporting to drive business decisions
  • Prioritize and operationalize shifts in strategy to drive key business objectives
  • Program Management - Develop and manage program strategic project plan with established milestones and critical path to optimize planning process efficiencies - including, and not limited to cultivating teams of program managers, event planners, production services, vendors, and outsourced agencies across the various event portfolios. Specify actions, time frames and performance measurement needed to achieve goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • University / Bachelor degree is required
  • 8-10 Years of relevant work experience
  • Proven / Strong people management experience
  • Critical thinking and the ability to prioritize and operationalize changes to strategy
  • Operational experience with service delivery - measuring success and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Experience in managing and building diverse teams
  • Leadership skills
  • Proven financial and budget management skills
  • Proven ability to read, edit, negotiate, and interpret contractual documentation, including the ability to manage performance to contracts and agreements

Travel

  • Up to 25% travel may be required
  • Weekend and evening work will be required depending on events being supported.
