Project Manager

Able to work on construction job site located in Pulai, Johor Bahru, Johor.

  • Responsible for project control and Project team responsibilities that site team has the expertise and tools to properly plan and program the project to meet objectives and contractual obligations
  • Actively participate in overall planning and programming of the project
  • Review and monitor performance of the project against the main, monthly & weekly program
  • Set project Safety Objectives and Standards in conjunction with the site team
  • Ensure controls are in place to satisfy the contract requirements for safe Methods of Working.
  • Provide full support to the Safety Management
  • Ensure all safety record and reports are completed within the required time limits.
  • Actively participate in the establishment of safe Methods of Working for identified extremely hazardous working areas
  • Ensure sub-contractors comply with the S.O’s “Health & Safety Regulations”
  • Prepare Master Program and Construction Material or Product Sample, Catalogue and Brochure (whichever relevant) and submit to Client, SO or Consultant for approval
  • Establish budgets for all elements of the project and ensure controls are in place to monitor expenditure versus budgets and in conjunction with Notify the client of delays, variations, etc
  • Negotiate or set parameters for negotiation of all subcontract packages.
  • Make contract with sub-contract principal or supplier and ensure they fully understand the Company’s requirements for the project and the requirement to meet programmed activities as scheduled
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and provide feedback with respect to performance on the project
  • Ensure overall control of sub-contractors on site
  • Provide full support to the site team in the management of sub-contractor
  • Responsible to issue the Client Satisfaction Survey to the Client once a year and at the end of the project for their perception / feedback towards organization performance.
  • To receive of Letter of Award or Work Order or Purchase Order from client.
  • Carry out Joint Measurement with Client, Consultant and Sub-contractor (if necessary).
  • Advice and guide Quantity Surveyor in preparing Progress Claim with supporting documents as per contract.
  • Follow up with consultant on Progress Claim certificate
  • To determine and oversee Variation Order impact on the project.
  • Establish and preparing Master Program and Construction Material or Product Sample, Catalogue and Brochure (whichever relevant) and submit to Client, SO or Consultant for approval.
  • Establish Project Quality Plan if applicable.
  • Monitory of work progress the whole project by using whichever method applicable.
  • Develop the Change Management Plan
  • Facilitate or execute the change management process. (This process may result in changes to the scope, schedule, budget, and/or quality plans. Additional resources may be required)
  • Ensure the Project Team maintain a log of all CRs
  • Conduct reviews of all change management activities with senior management on a periodic basis
  • Determine duration of time required for completion of project

Salary: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
