Join our dynamic retail security (loss prevention) department where members of our team have proudly transitioned to roles in various branches of the military and police, exemplifying the skills and dedication fostered within our organization.
The purpose of a Team Member in our Security / Loss Prevention Team is to ensure company property, merchandise and stock is correctly purchased and accounted for and to maintain a high level of visibility and to deter illegal actions.
Initial roster:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (07:00-17:30) and Saturday (08:30-19:00) OR:
Monday, Tuesday (07:00-17:30), Wednesday (08:30-19:00) and Sunday (08:30-19:00)
You will be involved in:
- Conducting foot and static patrols.
- Checking vehicles and the load/items against the invoice/receipt, and dealing with any discrepancies.
- Monitor and review camera footage and reported incidents and breaches.
- Liaising with your team mates in the store, garden and trade departments to identify and deter potential theft.
- Reporting any suspicious findings.
The ideal person for this position would need the following attributes:
- Prior experience in loss prevention preferred
- Possess outstanding customer service skills
- Exercise honesty and fairness in all areas
- Have excellent time management skills
- Confident using electronic devices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Display common sense & initiative
- Be physically fit
- A clean full New Zealand drivers’ license would be an advantage for this role
