Head of Service Design & Programme Development, National Learning Network (NLN)
Flexible location within Ireland
- Permanent Contract, 39 hours_
Job Purpose
Reporting to Director of National Learning Network-NLN, the Head of Service & Programme Design and Development will be responsible for enhancing the existing education and training programmes and building new innovative programmes and service options across National Learning Network. They will identify opportunities to leverage greater use of technology enhanced learning as well researching and designing new learning practices and education and training enhancements.
Minimum Education & Skills required
- A third level qualification in, education, inclusion, diversity, health care or other relevant areas. Masters level education is desirable.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a senior management role.
- Proven track record in leading out on strategic design and development of education and training programmes or social care services which delivered business outcomes.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams towards the achievement of outcomes.
- Proven ability to make difficult and challenging decisions that support strategic goals.
- Experience or knowledge of the charity or not-for-profit sector would be an advantage.
- Experience of working with QQI or HIQA Monitoring would be desirable.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead a Programme and Service Development Team including an ELearning Team to expand and enhance education, training and employment access services provided by National Learning Network.
- Develop and mobilise a Programme Development and Service Development Framework and associated tools to ensure an evidence based, quality assured, design-led, standardised approach to development across National Learning Network services.
- Promote a culture of Universal Design, respecting, accepting and valuing diversity amongst staff, students and management in National Learning Network.
- Work with colleagues in the Leadership Team, using key data to analyse trends, inputs, outcomes and impacts from the service and build on continuous improvement activities of the organisation.
Additional requirements
- Collaborate with the Directorate of Quality and Governance to develop and embed key performance indicators in the Frameworks that promote good practices, quality assurance and industry /sectoral standards required by funders and government at all stages of development.
