Responsibilities
- Carry out periodic inspection program to assure integrity of the static equipments viz., pressure vessels, heat exchangers, hydrocarbon piping, high pressure boiler etc.,
- Carry out statutory regulation requirements in coordination with various disciplines.
- Carry out detailed internal inspection of static equipment during planned shutdowns and Turnarounds.
- Troubleshoot integrity problems and provide reports on preventive/ corrective actions.
- Conduct failure analysis, analyse inspection/reliability data & develop improvement plan.
- Review design packages of the new projects especially on the material selection and design aspects of the static equipments.
- Inspection of the piping fabrication work, repair/reclamation welding, its quality and testing.
Requirements:
- A bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in refinery/petrochemical/air separation industry.
- Familiarity with static equipments standards/specification viz. ASME, API, BS, NACE etc and industry practices.
- Preferable to have certification in NDT techniques viz., UT, PT, Radiographic & MPT.
- Familiar with Eddy current testing, MFLT and other testing methods to assure the integrity of Heat exchanges.
- Conversant in welding codes, WPS and PQR.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment under tight schedules.
