About the Role
This is a rare entry opportunity to join our Quality Bakers site in Nelson as our Quality Health, Safety and Environment Manager. This role will be based on-site and take responsibility for maintaining and improving the Safety, Health and Environment Systems for the site and improve the Quality Assurance Programme including HACCP, quality documentation and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Annual Health and Safety plan established for the site, identifying goals/targets and improvement opportunities
  • Complete internal audits (insurance, STGFW checklists, ACC partnerships, environmental)
  • Maintain a live HACCP plan
  • Identify goals and targets for the annual food safety plan including improvement opportunities

About you
To make this role a success, we are looking for an experienced HSE professional who, ideally, has previous experience in food manufacturing environment.
Skillsets, qualifications and experience we would like to see, include:

  • Relevant HSE certification, or working towards one
  • Familiarity with HACCP within a food manufacturing environment
  • Self-driven individual with strong communication skills
  • Prior experience in the auditing of or setting up of quality systems and food safety procedures
  • The ability to Build strong lasting relationships with stakeholders across the business
