We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hiking Guide *with a passion for tourism and a deep knowledge of the captivating *Bernese Oberland region.
Requirements:
- Fluent knowledge of English
- Guide Certification is required
- Proven experience as a hiking guide or outdoor enthusiast with extensive knowledge of the Bernese Oberland region's trails
- Physical fitness and the ability to lead groups of varying fitness levels.
Responsibilities:
- Lead individuals or small groups on hiking adventures through the picturesque trails and stunning vistas of the Bernese Oberland region
- Prioritize the safety and well-being of clients by assessing trail conditions, weather, and individual fitness levels. Provide guidance on safety precautions and emergency
- Offer insights into the region's flora, fauna, geology, and cultural history to enhance the overall hiking experience.
Working Hours:
This is an on-request/availability contract position, which means you will work as needed based on client bookings and your availability. Hours may vary, and this may include weekends and holidays. Compensation will be discussed on a per-tour or per-day basis.
Job Types: Temporary, Part-time
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: From CHF50.00 per hour
