Mō tēnei tūranga - about the role
This newly established position will support the Analytics Manager within the Data and Analytics Directorate. You will play pivot part in redefining the way data visualisations are used to improve our evidence led decision making.
We are in an exciting period of change, transitioning from Cognos to Power BI and developing a new modern data warehouse based on Snowflake. It is an ideal time to make your mark on the future of data visualisation at FENZ.
Day to day you will:
- Develop and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions
- Support in the growth of quality data visualisation and reporting
- Proactively engage with stakeholders across the organisation to gather reporting requirements and identify ways to use data and reporting to improve decision making
- Contribute to developing best practice and quality standards to improve reporting and analytics within FENZ.
Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you’ll bring to the role:
To be successful in this role, we’d expect you will have:
- Intermediate to Advanced PowerBI skills. Knowledge of Cognos Analytics is desirable
- Excellent relationship management including setting realistic expectations early
- Experience developing effective easy to understand reporting solutions
- Ability to engage with business users to understand their information needs
- Knowledge with data science and advance analytical techniques is desirable
