Retail Planning Assistant
REPORTS TO:
Commercial Planning and National Account Manager
An exciting opportunity for someone in the early stages of their career in Retail Sales, Commercial or a Merchandising function.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
To support the Sales and Commercial team with operational, administrative and analytical tasks
This dynamic role covers all sales channels of the business including Jo Malone London boutiques and key retail partners in the UK & Ireland. Based within the Head Office Commercial team you will work closely with all functions in the business with priority focus on supply, operations and merchandising.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSABILITIES:
- Support the Commercial Planning Manager with administrative duties and wholesale achievement through new launch attainment and basic weekly replen sharing any changes or predicted variances to key stakeholders.
- New launch planning across all retail channels ; launch order forecasting, NLFs, allocations, and management with warehouse to ensure OCDs are met.
- Retail forecasting; work with Commercial Planning Manager to accurately provide retail forecasts
- Work proactively with supply and demand teams to ensure current sales trends are accounted for within forecasts, identify and mitigate any potential stock challenges.
- Retain agility to react to retail trends and maximise opportunities across our distribution
- Warehouse liaison; work closely with warehouse teams to manage critical paths for newness, key replen and Christmas.
- Ensure excellence in execution in Jo Malone London stores through the delivery of new product launches and the review of stock availability, liaising with the field team to optimize stock in stores
- Support with new door openings set up with internal colleagues
- Regular meetings with Replenishment Manager to ensure systems are correctly forecasting stock and sales
- General administrative tasks & duties to support the brand around key moments in the calendar such as helping to organize/prepare for retailer strategy meetings, completing adhoc manual orders, and arranging meetings lead by the sales department.
THE CANDIDATE
- Positive and helpful attitude, flexibility, eagerness and strong work ethic.
- Highly proficient at Excel and a real passion for working with data and numbers.
- SAP & Power BI experience beneficial but not necessary
- Strong analytics skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise, strong organisational and time management skills.
- Desire to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong desire to learn and develop.
- Commitment and passion for the brands.
- Sales and/or retail head office experience, ideally within the retail / cosmetics industry.
