Prepare, cook and serve food in accordance with menus ensuring a high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all time, have a great attitude and stay focused under pressure.
Be involved in the day-to-day operations of the business including regular ordering, purchasing, receiving and storage of food including appropriate rotation of stocks.
Show respect for your fellow cooks, how things are done and your co-workers and a willingness to learn from your co-workers. Build sound relationships with all staff, jumping in and helping when needed, without waiting to be asked. Be punctual.
Maintain kitchen equipment in working order and good condition. Work neatly, always cleaning as you go.
Complete stock takes as needed in an accurate and timely manner.
Taking part in all the training vis a vis: food hygiene, food preparation, food service, set up, ordering, equipment maintenance, personal hygiene and presentation.
Assisting junior kitchen staff with their daily duties, oversee production, quality and delivery of food.
Communicate efficiently with front of house staff to ensure a good flow of food and service to customers.
We are looking for a full-time cook that can work weekends, variety of weekdays both evenings and morning. You are looking for 30-40 hours.

Pay rate for the role is $28.20 per hour.
Our café is called The Block Café and we are located in Blockhouse Bay.
Salary: $29.66 per hour
