Our Opportunity
Our Research & Development (R&D) function is at the heart of ensuring we continue to deliver superior quality and nutritious everyday foods to our customers.
Due to an internal promotion, we are searching for a Product Development Technician to join us. You will become an integral member of the R&D team and will support the team in developing, documenting, and implementing product solutions.

As our Product Development Technician your role will be to:

  • Support the Product Development Technologists in new product development work through the management of the culinary centre/ laboratory inventory and equipment maintenance.
  • Support the Product Development Technologists in product improvement and cost-saving projects to specified outcomes
  • Conduct robust bench and factory trials, and ensure quality standards are achieved
  • Initiate sensory testing and evaluate against sensory targets

About You
To make this role a success, we are looking for an individual who has the ambition and desire to start a career with a company delivering to New Zealand some of its most recognisable and well-liked food brands.
Some of the skillsets and experiences we are looking for, include:

  • Qualification in Food Technology or Sciences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • An ability to lead and manage projects and manage key deadlines
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the operation of dairy processing/analytical equipment (UHT, homogeniser) will be preferred
  • Working rights and a NZ driver's licence
